Scientist For a Day

A full day social and educational workshop for curious minds aged 9–12, running at least twice each school holiday period. Each session focuses on a different science theme — such as ornithology, palaeontology, mammalogy, or arachnology — giving kids a taste of real scientific careers. Children enjoy hands-on activities, experiments, and rare behind-the-scenes access to practising scientists within the Museum and beyond. Kids should bring their own lunch, snacks, and water bottle, as they often head outside to Hyde or Cook Park.
